Patti Bogan
Board Secretary and Treasurer

Dave Dorsey
Dave, a retired US Air Force aircraft mechanic, retired auto parts salesman, and former wild bird rehabilitator and educator, has called Alaska home for over 40 years. His journey with Beagles began when he adopted Macy, who became his loyal companion. He often shares how Macy chose the house that would become ABR; among all the places they visited, it was the only one where she left her mark. Dave lovingly cares for the Beagles of Alaska Beagle Ranch daily, embodying dedication and love.

Joy Orr
Board President

Vic Orr
Board Vice President
Patti is Alaskan born and raised. She retired from Chugach Electric Association in 2011. She has been owned by Beagles since the mid-80's, usually having a couple at a time. Currently she is owned by Jasper and Charlie B. Goode who is mostly Charlie B. Bad.
She became involved with ABR when Dave asked her to be on their boards of directors. She had met him several years prior when they both volunteered at the Bird Treatment and Learning Center in Anchorage, AK.
Patti rides motorcycles year-round, including doing the Run For The Wall from California to Washington, DC to pay respect at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and raise awareness for those that have not been accounted for and prisoners of war.
Joy was born in North Carolina but moved to Alaska as a teenager. Vic and she are husband and wife. Currently she is a nurse and is passionate about the end-of-life care for everyone.
Joy met Dave when she was fostering for another rescue. Dave took in two rescues, Joy and Shiloh. Her own beagle, Daisy Mae caused her to fall in love with the breed. Daisy Mae was a typical Beagle, very mischievous, stubborn and loving. When ABR was started, she was more than happy to make this her focus.
Vic was born in Detroit, Michigan, but has lived in Alaska since 1992. He is a veteran of the US Navy Submarine Service. Currently he is an aircraft maintenance technician for Northern Air Cargo.
Beagle, Daisy Mae was his first dog, and she made him fall in love with the breed. He is happy that he gets to support ABR and any Beagle in need any way he can.
